Pre and Post Treatment Cancer Recovery

Exercise Physiology Cancer Chronic Fatigue

New Zealand has some of the highest cancer rates in the world, with more than 23,000 people diagnosed with cancer every year.*

Exercise has been scientifically proven to assist in recovery post-treatment and reduce the likelihood of cancer recurrence.

There is even evidence to support the benefits of exercise throughout treatment to assist in reducing the long-term side effects of treatment!

We will take into account considerations such as…

  • Side effects of chemotherapy - such as fatigue symptoms, nerve damage, chemo-induced menopause

  • Lymphodema - swelling due to a blockage in the lymphatic system

  • ‘Cording’ or scar tissue at the site of surgery

  • Whether you are immuno-compromised
