About KinetEx

Yolanda Clinical Exercise Physiologist.jpg

Hi, I’m Yolanda! The face behind ‘KinetEx’.

And I am on a mission to make exercise and well-being accessible to all.

Kinetic Energy: The energy possessed by a body or system by virtue of its motion.

The name ‘KinetEx’ was derived from the concept of the energy associated with motion, while the sub-caption, ‘Movement for Health’ emphasises the role of physical activity in optimising vitality and well-being. Together, the name encompasses what I believe to be the most simple and natural way to improve health - through movement!

Of course, anyone can join a gym, sign up with a soccer team or join a local Zumba class… But for those struggling with, or recovering from, a major health condition, there can be additional considerations they need to account for in their exercise regime.

That’s where I come in!

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Auckland in 2017. This means that I have the knowledge of how to use exercise for rehabilitation - combining a scientific understanding of how the human body works at a cellular level, with an understanding of how exercise can be used to help clinical health conditions.

Who are you talking to when you speak with Yolanda?
